I belive that the reason that said electron split in such a way when being watched, because of the electronic waves eminating from the camera, If you mountead the canon on top of the gun, you might get a different result.

Solely my opinion.
Don't you think that people who's whole career is in science would have already thought of that before saying that it was purely because we observed it? These people know what they're doing.

It is because we observed it though. Here's some requotes because people can't be bothered to read it seems.

The video representation is a bit misleading. They don't physically observe the electron's position with some sort of camera which is a passive element. Typically some form of high energy electromagnetic wave is fired at an electron and the changes in the fired wave are observed. Unfortunately electrons are kinda small and sensitive so by observing some property of the electron at that moment you drastically reduce the certainty with which other properties can be observed, because you have altered the path of the electron by measuring it.

"Well why don't they invent a new method for measuring electrons!"

If you can think of a way to measure something without observing its physical properties and behavior I'm sure every scientist in the world would like to hear.
No, the detector provides a method of interacting with the electrons, therefore upsetting the potential superpositions. I presume they used some sort of physical counter that relied on the electrons interacting with some part of the detector.
Electrons are a classic quantum particle, being both waves and particles at the same time, or somewhere in between. It's theorised that they travel every possible route at the same time, I'm not terribly educated in how exactly they choose which route but hey, you've got a near-infinite number of possibilities there, all calculated at once. For every electron.

That's what I'm saying.
I think you need to look up the meaning of the word dismiss then.
