I would honestly recommend Roblox.

But more notably Club Penguin, I had loads of fun when I was a kid on that. Fun collecting stuff.

sorry but I dont have any new ideas but I tested Lego universe so I can say for a sixteen year old it got boring pretty fast it's a great game but for younger kids so for an eight year old thats what I'd suggest or minecraft

And yes, i think roblox is a good choice (especially since its already overrun by 8 year olds)
