making add ons

I have followed a tutorial on RTB posted by Chao, ans added my own folder in add-ons, but when i go in game to the add-ons section it never shows up. Am I doing something wrong? I have been learning coding, teaching myself, and believe i have the basics down, but have no way to test it since it doesn't show up in the add-ons. How can I fix this?

We need to know more about what exactly you did. What did you do with the model?

And if the model is not the problem, you need to post the script.

Its not the script, or model. I was trying to do a simple serverCmd function to get words to appear when i type in something throught the client. I followed the tutorial step by step (http://forum.returntoblockland.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=95) and couldn't get the add-on to show up.
