Author Topic: Server Broken? (Read 1158 times)

So I had my freebuild server up and there was a BAD storm happening outside. All of the sudden I see a flash of lightning and our power goes out... About 2 minutes later the power comes on so I go back to my computer to start my server again, but it doesn't show up in the master server list. I go check the server and it says that the connection failed. I tried restarting the router, the computer, and even re-port forwarding. I also tried re-installing. Anyone know what is going on? Any help is appreciated!

I'm not sure what to say, then. The console.log does show some signs of not being able to connect to the master server but you closed the dedicated too soon, so there's not any information of prolong disconnected.

Host the server again, join the server yourself (you can use "Query LAN" to find it), and then wait about 10 minutes. Post that log.

huh? that's odd.

Try joining. What this does is it causes the server to try and authenticate the player's BL_ID with the master server. There should be more information detailed if this process fails.

Ok, it seems to be authenticating with the master server, but still isn't showing up...

What this says to me is that the server is posting to the master server, but the game later checks the master server's listings and does not find itself, so it resends the post. I could be wrong, but I don't have another explanation as I do not get the second message in my console when I hosted just now.

This means that the master server is either malfunctioning or you're banned from appearing on it. Try sending Badspot a PM.

But when I go to the server it says when I leave and come back that it posts to master server and rtb.

Server just finished starting up. If it is working, it should be there now.

Ok, now it's saying posting to master server & I can see it in the server list. The only thing that happened was you connecting...

Was able to connect just fine. It appears on the Master Server List. You're totally fine.
