People can benefit from almost anything, it just depends on the person.

You know those websites that do video reviews on console games? Well, they spent that much on a capture card and even more on editing software, and the benefit from it all.

The Black Magic Intensity Shuttle is a great capture device for the price. It's what I use. It handles a lot of the processing load if you ever plan to stream video live.
