Earphones Borked halp

It happened this afternoon, while coming out of school, and plugged my headphones into my iPod. My earphones arent getting the sound quality I need. Example: Playing a video with my eadphones plugged in gets me hearing only the music. The seaking is muted. Then when I tryt o play daft punk, I cant hear it as good as I used to, sound is fuzzy, cant hear the good beats in the background, its hard to explain. If I twist some parts of the earphones, I can hear my music perfectly. Its not my iPod that causes this, nor my ears.
Ill post a picture of my earphones, seeing I dont have a name for it.

You need new ones. This happens if you keep your iPod in your pocket too much. And if you wrap your headphones around your iPiod, you're practically strangling them to death.
