Author Topic: Stupid Lock On Computer  (Read 1397 times)

because children's educational television is funny when used in correct situations

especially BRITISH educational television.

Well my parents put a lock on my computer. And the only way I can get on is I ask then leave the room, does anybody know a way to find out the passcode without having to reset anything?
Get any files you need, and do a complete restore of the computer.
If it's really yours, that is.

As stated, boot into safe mode by smashing the f5 key on startup. This should allow you to enter a hidden administrator account. If you really want to teach them a lesson I recommend changing the password and then asking them to unlock the computer. Most adults while get angry and give up when things don't go their way. Good luck.

for a second there I thought the computer was literally 'locked' and my best advice would have been a hammer

but honestly use a hammer. forget the po-lice. (and your parents too!)

My dad is a computer wiz, all he does all day is write code, and he's been doing this for 30+ years

I know that much.

My dad is a computer wiz,

if that was true he would know you could just enter safe mode and change the password. some "lock" that was lol

He must have a lot of code by now.

As I said before, I already knew that. I also said that I didn't want to change the password, just find out what it is.

Bitchslap your parents and tell them if they don't unlock it that you'll hate life and go all emo on 'em
Follow it up by pretending they don't exist until they're trying their hardest to be nice.

Did they even tell you why they locked the computer?

Get a USB and make a bootable flash drive.
