Author Topic: Friend's BL not going online?  (Read 1298 times)

So, same old "offline mode" crap.

My friend, that lives in the US, bought BL and can't get it working. They have W7, NO firewalls, BL has full permission. When they go to "join a game", the client just says "verify internet" they query internet, same thing. They've tried everything. rebooting, etc.

how solve?

and, My friend doesn't have a BL forums account, that's why i'm posting for them.

He obviously has access to everything else (internet based, he can browse etc.)?

From the looks it actually sound like a firewall problem that you (he, she, it) didn't grant blockland the permission to be able to connect with the internet.

Eww, Windows 7. My dad had that and he couldn't get on a lot of games, and got viruses really easily, easier than he did on Windows XP Pro. Then he switched to Linux and used Windows Wine to play his favorite Windows games. :D

He can play Blockland, so you may want to try getting Linux. Personally, I have Windows XP Pro. But that's just me.

Yeah, full internet and all.

But no firewalls.

None.

Zilch.

Nada.

NIL.

Doesn't say anything about doing different things on Windows 7, than what he did on the XP Pro.

So.. No actual help?

My friend's "i wasted $20 afdgvxdgrdf" is getting annoying.

It's not like he has done something wrong, he just got a messed up W7.

It's not wasted, he can now build unlimited(sort of) amounts of bricks on single player.

First off:

Whoa der' pardner, thread. Don't die on me.

He got it so he could go online and build with me, and so on.

The best way you can sort it out is get your friend on the Blockland forums.

Print screen his problem.
Post it with his account

1. why would you need a screenshot? do you want to see the blockland title screen saying Offline Mode?
2. there's no need to post with another account

way to read the entire op.

Try going to Controls -> Network and selecting a network.
Maybe it's just that simple.
