The Autism should have absolutely nothing to do with this story. It looks like they made it a point to mention his Autism to have Microsoft come across as villains.

It does have something to do with this story.

Apparently his autism made him play so good that MS thought he was cheating, so that's how he got banned.

The kid was actually cheating, using modified game saves.  Apparently he also shared his account details with a guy in order for him to unlock some other things, something to do with Halo.

The mother is simply desperate for attention, flailing her kid around, yelling "LOOK AT MY SON HE'S AUTISTIC PITY HIM WAHHHHHH".
