Ephialtes has put a lot of work into RTB and maintaining it. It's not something he picked up dropped as most members of this community would do. He's also doing a great job of moderating the forums, I think he can afford to be intolerant to those criticizing him.
As far as him taking advantage of Kalphiter's servers recently, I wouldn't do it myself, but it wasn't uncalled for. As Bisjac said, Kalphiter has pursued Ephilates for a long time now, he made himself a target. He's almost a troll in that aspect.
I'm not saying Kalphiter deserves all the grief he gets, but he certainly isn't innocent. The fact that his avatar has a troll face doesn't speak well for him.
For those that don't think Ephialtes should be a moderator because of this, I'll restate that I don't think he crossed the line. And on top of that, he's doing a great job so far.
