Crashed after I set my nick
Thanks, this info might help a bit.

I'm just going to run it in debug mode so performance might take a hit, but I can find where the exceptions are happening and add my crappy error handling.

Nifty.

EDIT: It stopped working... :C

Doesn't work in a GNOME terminal.

It just re-types what I type at a 1sec delay. Whenever I try to hit enter it just puts an "^M" in there. When I try to backspace, it puts in a bunch of unknown ascii characters and "^?"'s.

Is this hard coded for Windows? Because if this doesn't work on Linux, it probably won't work on Mac either.

Telnet app is full of binary. Not chatroom.

This is hard coded for the telnet protocol. Your client is messed up. Get one the conforms to standards.

now for someone to set up an old school BBS

Right now, there's Niblic, Past Niblic, Future Niblic, and Future Future Niblic.

Just lock this if you're not going to host.
