I draw all the time.
And in pen too.

My pens are running out of ink from so much usage and I got them at the beggining of the school year. :c

Learn through simple practice.  Adapting specific techniques and/or forms will ultimately reduce your ability to understand how and why they're available for proper use, diminishing your ability to creatively produce a piece of art.

In referral to learning forms and understanding how realism is properly displayed in 2D imagery, refer to Tophius's guidelines.  Regardless of the fact that he obviously has yet to master what he's out to accomplish(no insult intended), he's definitely on the right track.

I learned drawing anime characters by watching actual anime lulz
herp

Don't go through the stuffty anime phase of drawing.

I don't think anime would be a good start at all anyway.

I specialize with this deeply.
I'm  guns and steampunk stuff. Too bad I don't have anyway to upload pics of my drawings.

I'm  guns and steampunk stuff.
I am too, I'm an interesting mixture of a lot of different genres if you actually know me.

For some reason I can ONLY draw inanimate or mechanized objects. No living things. :c
