1.Do you like this movie? Why?Overall, I seem to have a love-hate relationship with this movie as I do with others. To begin with, the use of music gives me a vivid feeling but I don’t believe it’s strong enough to hold the movie. When I listen to music it gives me inspiration to create content but cannot replace the content. Thus, I was not fond of the idea of music without visual presentation. As for the first part of the movie I both found it interesting and it bored me to tears. The first half of the part didn’t give me a clear understanding as to what was going on and it felt as if I were watching a documentary rather than an “artistic” movie. I believe the second half of the first part with the monolith shined a lot better in my opinion though. It explained enough for me to grasp the concept but kept itself enshrouded in a mysterious feeling. When it came to the second part nothing interesting really grabbed my attention but nothing turned me off as well. My opinion for the movie stayed neutral during this point but it did give me an idea of how society works in that timeframe. When the third part arrived I had an instant rush of nostalgia as I began to remember that I had seen this part of the movie long ago which greatly improved my liking to the movie. As I began to watch though I became disappointed, for it wasn’t as great as I perceived it when I was young. It seemed as if most of the parts were just filler such as when Bowman flies the small space shuttle to find Poole’s body. It seemed extremely drawn out and I believe it didn’t require as much build up as it had. Lastly, I became extremely confused during the last part and had to think a while after the movie to even begin to conceive an understanding of the ending. In the end, I’m not sure if whether it’s my lack of understanding the movie or if I do make a few legitimate points on what ruined the movie. Either way it’s one of those movies that you can never make a final opinion about such as when I found it to be great as a kid but annoying as a teenager.2. What do you think the ending meant? To the best of my beliefs I have concluded that the main theme of the ending for “2001: A Space Odyssey” shows that within time and death brings a vast knowledge. We commonly refer to the elderly as the wise because of they’re life experience. When Bowman was flying through the tunnel of light it represents the years flying by yet to Bowman it only feels like a few minutes. Once he reaches the bedroom it presents years of culture and history with the old decor and museum like feel. As Bowman begins to see older versions of himself it’s not him looking at himself yet the older version reflecting back on his younger years. Slowly, a paradox of time is formed and Bowman’s perception is completely disoriented as he is caught in the illusion of aging fast. Inevitably, Bowman eventually reaches his final moments as the monolith comes to observe his last breathes. The monolith acting almost like an angel seems to be waiting to take Bowman and guide him to a higher understanding. Bowman sees this opportunity for what can be described as immortality and reaches his hand out, accepting his fate. Then Bowman is transformed into a new being, a fetus, relating somewhat to reincarnation. In this new form Bowman travels to Earth to study, to observe, to learn for the many years to come of his never-ending thought. From here, Bowman can gain an endless knowledge that the monolith had given him. It seems as almost as if the monolith had prepared this and set every event into place so that Bowman could reach his destination. I believe this also shows that the ending can also relate to fate.
So, did you finish it?

How is your inability to finish things unrelated to you doing something? No one mentioned Kalphiter or Blockland Cloud, we were talking about you and doing something. What NickTheSushi said seems completely related
aren't essays supposed to be 5 paragraphs or somethingthen again what the hell do I know :c
Anything by you and Blockland Cloud = both never being finishedTotally related, you dunce.
