Author Topic: Building Tips  (Read 899 times)

There are a lot more people who are new to blockland than there used to be and i thought of this idea for a topic. I know people will say stuff like "people have there own building style don't try to copy others" but this is just tips. no one has to follow them. I've been here since v9 and i wish that someone had a topic like this when i was new. anyway just post tips here and don't tell people WHAT to build or HOW to build it just give some tips.

My Tips:
-use round bricks and ramps there aren't many things in life tat are entirely blocky
-if you don't like something chances are other people won't either think of a new way to build it.
-avoid mono color builds
-some of my best builds have been built off of real life things try something like that for a change.
-you can use ideas from other people it's not copying if you add onto it
-(quoted from ladezkik. sorry if i spelled that wrong)building is 99% thinking. think then build it.

anyway just post your own building tips anyone can benefit from them.

Don't steal builds. Give credit if you use someone else's build and just build off of it. (Original Build) (Default builds don't need to be credited).

oh yeah of course i didn't mean steal builds but you can use a good idea every once in a while and i have seen a couple people who do totally monocolor builds.

I like some monochrome builds. Having different shades of one color.

ya but don't build a house with a green trim and a slightly lighter green wall

If you need inspiration, smoke purple haze or Alaskan thunder forget.

don't make builds boxxy?

Yeah, don't make builds blocky... You could say it takes the Life out of it. Anyways good idea C :cookie: :cookie:for you  :cookieMonster:

If you are making a tower or line of bricks, hold down shift and the button to move the ghost brick.

use large bricks. don't use all 1x1s to make a wall
