Author Topic: Ubuntu 10.04 LTS Will Not Mount My iPhone 3GS (Read 1204 times)

It is plugged in, with the default white cable it comes with into one of my computer's back USB ports. I tried all usb ports, same result of nothing. I have libimobiledevice0 installed.

You should have thought about hardware capability before installing Linux. iPod was only made for Windows or PC.

You can either try to find some drivers/software to recognize it OR
You could get an app that lets you use your iPod like a hard disk.

I can't imagine why you would want such a hulking beast like your computer to mount on top of such a poor defenseless piece of technology like your iphone... So cruel, people trying to get pieces of technology to mate.

It mounts in Windows, but I don't have Windows anymore.
