How do you easily rid your model of backfaces if they are spread out throughout the model?

What modeling program are you using?

Sorry, can't help you. I don't use that piece of crap. Try Googling like a champion.

There really isn't a completely easy way to do it. I always delete them by hand.

And also, Demian, he can use whatever he wants to model, there is no need to provoke a modeling problem debate yet again.

yeah, i exported a model from LeoCAD to .3ds then imported it into Milkshape and i figured out that half the model had the faces reversed, mostly on round pieces

Inverted faces =/= "backfaces" or "double faces/sided" See if there is an option to recalculate normals or invert normals. I assume some of the faces on your model are pure black? That means the normals are inverted on those faces.

Select the faces and press control+shift+f

Sorry, I got confused and thought you wanted something else.

Also, remember to refresh textures often while doing this.

Select your face and reverse the vertex order.

thing is, when i select the faces, it selects the NON reversed faces BEHIND it, and converts it

You can do two things

1) Manually deselect the unwanted faces. Hold down shift and click with the right mouse button to deselect faces. It's easy to do this if you check "Wireframe Overlay" on the main model view window.

2) You can also uncheck the option "Select Backfaces" under the select options. This will only select faces on the surface on the object.
