Wacom Bamboo fun it is worth the 200 dollars I have one.

you have to diligently draw and draw and not be afraid to make mistakes.

I am horrible with tablets. I guess I recommend getting a Bamboo one.

Whatever tablet you're getting, make sure to get one with a screen on it.

I have a Bamboo Tablet, no screen just a black pad. It was pretty cheap, I think <$70.
It takes a little time, but you get use to not looking at the pen while drawing.

Why buy expensive technology when you can't draw? I would suggest getting good at it first. If you can draw on paper there is no reason why you could draw on a tablet.
