My definition of love is quite different my good sir.

I believe your wife should be your best friend. And honestly, marrying your best friend is just to make the government happy. I'm perfectly fine with "staying friends".

though when that was still relevant, marriage was started as a way to "own" woman, as men can have several of them as a wealth commodity.

My opinion on love still stands though.

Didn't know about that history though, pretty funny and ironic. It's usually the woman who wants to get married so in logical terms they may as well be saying, "OWN ME! OWN ME!!!."

EDIT: Except it's usually the woman who owns the man now-a-days. :/
