If this ever happens again tilt your head upwards slightly, hold a tissue with one hand to prevent blood from gushing out, and with the other hand gently pinch the area directly under your nasal bone. Then give it some time and it should stop.

Adding to my post, I can't stress the emphasis enough on only tilting your head back slightly. If you tilt it back to the point were you are staring at the ceiling all that is going to happen is the blood will all run down your throat into your stomach. That isn't good.
