Why exactly are you focusing on this instance of harsh behaviour towards other members? There is a lot of it to choose from everywhere on this website. Clearly you have a past grievance.

I have a tendency to defend new members. It's just my personality. I can't stand to see new members get buttforgeted because they have no clue how to act, and they leave saddened.
