Author Topic: Addons on Windows Seven  (Read 791 times)

Hi! I just got a Windows 7 upgrade, and I don't know how to save addons. The way I used to do it -on Windows XP- was to save it to addons, and bam. But, when I click download, it just opens the file. It doesn't ask to Open, Save, or Cancel. I bet this was already asked, but I didn't see it -searched for it-

Help, please!

The add-on will have downloaded straight to your download folder.

You save the add-on in your add-ons folder.

Choose the destination when downloading the file, and click save not open.

There is no "Save". I click on it, and it opens. There is a little arrow with 2 more options, one is "Open" and I am not sure about the other one. I know it is not "Save", though.

Depends on your web browser however what options you get.

Get a decent browser. IE is awful. Use opera.

I also use Windows 7 with Internet Explorer.
If you download a file, it will prompt you with a yellow box at the bottom of the page. There should be a button beside "Save". Click that and click "Save As".

Nevermind. Got it! Thanks!
