Author Topic: MP3 length unreal?  (Read 1762 times)

This weird thing happened. I downloaded an audio off of youtube of a song about 4 minutes long, but in windows media player it plays for 27 minutes, but it loops or does something correct because it sounds perfect. How do I make the actual song play for 27 minutes? Playing it in audacity or itunes only recognizes it for the actual 4 minutes. How do I make it recognize it for 27 minutes like windows media player?

If they manage to have a program loop a song with perfect precision, that's an accomplishment.

Well everything else with "Live" tagged on the end of it is loving broken I swear.

WMP doesn't have Live tagged on it.
The rest don't have it tagged on the end and seem to work fine for me.

im not a fan of mp3 files.

Open it in a program like Audacity, and export the entire thing as an MP3.
I use to have this problem with some of my own music, and this did the trick.

It happens. Audio files can appear to be longer than they actually are.

Same but so many programs don't like to support anything else, despite that the MP3 codec costs them money.

What happened is this: I downloaded an mp3 file of a 3:45 song, but it turns out that the downloaded file is 27:35, but that versions is a perfect loop or the 3:45. The right click properties say it's 27:35 but any program so far except WMP recognizes it as 3:45. How do I make it so they recognize it as 27:35?

im all about the FLAC format
