Author Topic: Mesh Making (Exorting to files Blockland can read)  (Read 1435 times)

I have purchased Maya 3D from Autodesk (along with an old version of Autocad) and I was wondering if you can use Maya to make meshes for Blockland. If you can could you tell me what type of file I need to save it as and if there are any other requirements as to when you are editing or making the mesh on Maya for blockland?

Also, when using Map2Dif, you just need to drag your correct file the program can read on top of the Map2Dif icon correct? Please correct me if im wrong. (Grammar mistakes as well lol)

its lots of money, so i cant tell you anything.

Export into .DTS format. Yes, it's a Unix thing, but the whole add-on won't work without a model in .DTS format.

You can.  You need to add "Shape", "Detail32", mounts, then export it to a .dts (torque file).

Why would YOU need Maya... .-.

I mean I get it if you're using it for an actual commercial video game, one you'd make money off of, but $800 for making add-ons?

Something is fishy 'bout this. :P

No, I had purchased it because of my sister. Thats not the only thing I use it for, if it was the id get some cheap program. My sis needed it for one of her classes and I might learn how to use it as well.

First off, what version of maya is it?
