Seems to be firewall block. If you are running Norton, McAfee, or other such programs, make sure "Blockland.exe" is on "Allow". This should fix it.

I have a Mac too. But I've never had a problem with online. But I don't think he's running security software, because macs don't get viruses. Check your internet connection.
