HE did, the "rc-xd" didn't. He placed some sort of explosive in the microwave and not on the rc car.

Aaa RC-XD means Remote Controlled Explosive Device, it migth as well be a plane or boat.
Black ops does not specify that so they should not say it is "The RC-XD like in Black ops".

It wasn't awesome, it was just an rc monster truck that trundled over to a box at 3 miles per hour, then went "Poff" like an oversized firecracker.

There were explosives (not the firecracker poppers or whatever) on the car, look closely.

He was saying "The RC-XD like in Black Ops" to specify the STYLE of RC-XD.
