Author Topic: Blockland randomly started lagging  (Read 911 times)

In the main menu the game starts to lag when it switched background pictures, this happens extremely often and randomly fixes itself at times, only to continue later. When this is occurring however, I also get lag in game (lag spikes are continuous, they are separated by 1 or 2 seconds of time when it doesn't lag), anyone have any ideas what this may be. (The game was playing fine a couple days ago)

Anyways your computers a laptop right? Try putting 2 small pieces of plywood under each corner and see if you have the issue, If you still have it buy a laptop cooler at walmart their about 10-15$ And IF IT still persists set your battery mode to power saver. I used to have the same problem, the above fixed the issue hope it does for you :D

Plywood wtf

Plywood wtf

The plywood lifts the laptop up to get more air.  It cools it down if it is overheating.

Basicly something to boost your computer off the desk as this causes a heating problem. If the cooling fan is being blocked where does the heat go? Back inside the computer...

Also if you havn't already installed this i recommend doing so: Vista http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/bb738089 Xp: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc768378.aspx

My computer is not a Laptop. I have proper cooling in my desktop and I can play other games (TF2, any source game, BFBC2) with no issues.

Dude what the forget are you talking? A heat fan has nothing to do with blockland playing. 2 pieces of plywood? What will that do? Nothing. Quit telling this kid random stuff because you dont know what your talking about.

Id be awesome if the topic creator made a video of him starting blockland to see how it crashes.

not crash. I mean how it lags. Doubt its a heat problem. Try updating your video card. I had a similar problem and that solved it. Or clear your pc of uneeded stuff.

If a laptop overheats then it gets way slow.
