1. Is 43 degrees celcius too hot for a hard drive? Because that's what mine was at.

2. My motherboard has a BIOS called Pheonix, and the chipset Intel Lakeport 1945G. I run an intel Pentium D. Will this support an Intel Core 2 Quad?

3. Can I upgrade the power supply if my motherboard is a BTX form factor?

43C isn't hot for computer components, however with hard drive it could be different. I'd run a fan thru the front intake to be safe.

Provided you mean Lakeport 945G as there is no 1945G, the supported processors are below:
Pentium 4, Pentium D, Celeron D, Core 2 Extreme, Core 2 Duo

Power supply and Motherboard size (form factor) are moreso related to your case size.

Would the Core 2 Extreme be a great upgrade compared to a pentium D?

Even though it's 300 something dollars. Even so I would need a new Power supply, too.

Nevermind.
