The last time that a fraction of the internet could collectively change the entire world was never.
I can't remember any group that flat out stated "WE GON' CHANGE THE WORLD!" actually having changed the world. It's another project where the makers decided that they were awesome and competent, but will end up being forgotten.
This is true, but I think it's because people won't get off of their asses and actually try to do something. I don't necessarily think that it's because their groups fail. If anyone made any progress, we would actually be hearing about it on the news and what-not.
I didn't say that they were.
There are some people that aren't idiots there.
In fact, I know of instances where a couple of them actually helped somebody.
I can't remember them exactly right now, but I do know that I remember hearing of them.
Well, usually when people compare things to /b/, they are referring to it's forgeted up side.
But Yeah, there are some decent people there. Like the people who caught the person who threw puppies into a river.
I don't really think so.
It's just an internet community (granted, a large one).
I suppose that they technically could make an impact, but I don't think they will.
I think it's just hard for people to take anyone seriously. :P
