Author Topic: Retail for Vista?  (Read 4495 times)

I made my friend roll back to win xp again too.
M$ made a big failure with Vista and I don't think anyone should give them cookies for that.

Just think about things you couldn't do as effective as in windows xp?
What about the Hardware Support?
RAM requirement? etc. all ressources are killed by it for most likely unready and senseless crap services running in the background giving you unimportant stuff.

(I'm using extremly modified windows xp and simplyMEPIS (Linux) )

My brother got Vista free with his laptop (it was like a chirstmas thing at Bestbuy) but they f'ed up on the order so it came like 4-5 months late, it was supposed to be shipped to us on official Vista release date :( He hasn't installed it yet, since he's put stuff on his computer and wants to decide what to keep and get rid of etc.

Vista rocks, if it's not running correctly for you then your computer is screwed up or sucks.

It works perfictly for me with no BSOD's and no cryptic error message.

A 845G chipset is 7 years old, you have to upgrade or newer software and games will not work correctly.

On my computer, Vista has weird polygonal glitches on Blockland. It works fine on Linux running Wine. So it's like Badspot says: it might work; it might not. Don't count on it.
