timesplitters 2 handled multiple weapons fine on the ps2 controller. there was also a console version of serious sam with multi weapons. hell, i'd even take a thing where you only had 2 active weapons at a time, but could pick up all the other weapons and just go to a pause menu where you could swap out the 2 active weapons with other ones in your inventory.

Every. Single. Button. Has. Been. Used. For. Duke. Nukem. Forever!

R1 - zooming
R2 - trip mines
L1 - shooting
L2 - pipe bombs
D-pad up - Duke Vision/taunting
D-pad left - Steroids
D-pad right - HoloDuke
D-pad down - beer
X - jump
square - reload
Circle - melee
Triangle - weapon switch
right stick bumper - crouch
left stick bumper - sprint

Adding a temporary pause screen between weapon switching like Bioshock is just going to ruin the gameplay.

remove sprinting. duke should be moving at top speed all the time, pausing only to beer

How do you beer.

so instead of triangle = weapon switch, why can't it be triangle = transparent weapon menu comes up then you can pick one by pointing the brown townog stick in the direction of the picture of the weapon you want to select?

just an idea. and it wouldn't pause gameplay, could just be some small thing on the left/right of the screen somewhere (never actually played DNF, not sure how the UI is layed out)

now I mean of course this is just a concept - things would have to be considered like interference with movement (both player and camera) while selecting weapon (obviously you would freeze this as the menu pops up) .. guess you'd have to see if that ruins immersion or not ..

anyway that's just an idea. I'm no game designer lol. but isn't 2 weapons normally enough for FPS games anyway? good old <insert your favorite weapon here> and <insert secondary here>.

You need your right thumb to press triangle. Now that your right thumb is occupied you can switch weapons with the left brown townog stick, the problem with this is that you can't walk around and switch weapons at the same time.

It could be press triangle, menu comes up, then you use right stick to choose and you can still walk with left and shoot and crap

Kind of like an overlay

What a idiot.

However, I was like this when i was young. I used to get angry, upset or cry whenever i lose but a lot on video games.

I think this kid is in his teens.

These kind of gamers make me want to punch a baby.
You should. The kid that you played with is probably no older than 3 years old if he acts like this.
