Author Topic: Can I use a Nintendo WiFi Connecter adapter as a wireless card for my pc?  (Read 1044 times)

I've heard that I can, but I wanted to make sure that I actually can before I buy it then come home and can't hack it to use as a wireless card.
I'll tell my parents "oh im using it to boost my connection for my wii games plz buy c:"

Oh no.
Is it really discontinued? ;.;

why can't you just ask to buy a wireless card for your pc?

"No, you can't have 24/7 access to the internet."

If you're talking about -

then,
...however it has since been discontinued due to legal issues...

If I can use it as a wireless card, then I'll buy one from eBay.

That thing is total stuff, don't get it. I got it for my birthday, couldn't get it working. Then my Mom started literally shoving a phone in my face telling me to talk to my aunt when 1: I NEVER use phones, so it makes me uncomfortable. 2: I am hell pissed it's not working and am busy trying to concentrate on getting it working. stuff happened. This crap is just bad memories to me, don't even try to find it anywhere. Get something real.

First, you will be able to use the Wi-Fi Connector as a standard WiFi adapter, allowing you to connect to existing wireless networks, run NetStumbler, and so on. More importantly, you can unlock the soft AP function of the Wi-Fi Connector to work with any WiFi device, not just Nintendo's.

You should check this one out too, I think it's the same as above though.

so you're telling him not to buy it because it's stuff (which it probably is) and because it will make him talk to his aunt on the phone which will make him feel uncomfortable and get him all pissed and stuff? damn, that's some serious stuff, yo.

I really want internet on my computer because I have to either use my Wii, PSP, or my parent's computer and it's really annoying. I can't buy anything real because of my parents not allowing me to have internet access. (so unless you can use a Wii, PSP, or DS as a wireless card, which I highly doubt, then I really don't know what else to do)

It
does
not
work.

Stop being a loving starfish. I rarely talk to my aunt, and then the phone is in my face, so I can't loving yell at me mom "Get that thing away, I'm mad right now" because then my aunt will hear and go "O_O." Go be a loving bitch somewhere else.

I'm sorry but I don't think he wanted to know about your aunt calling and wanting to talk to you, which in turn made you awkward and couldn't do anything about it.

I mean, that just has nothing to do with it working or not.

Don't be a spaz, bro.

Okay, since it can be hacked I will ask my mom if I can buy it and if not them I will rage because my computer is about as useful as a stick. The only things I can use it for are for games, music, movies and documents. It can barely run 3D games.

I had no idea what was wrong with it, and never ever got it working. Just because I included that with my personal experience doesn't invalidate the point. But in all seriousness, I accidentally snarled a little and stuff trying not to yell with the phone against my face, and I believe I knocked it out of her hand. It embarrassed me, and was generally a bad experience. Don't start degrading it for me, it really bothers me.

My god.
She's not letting me buy one. She doesn't give me a reason, just "No."

:c

Tell her it comes with an extension cable, so you can swing it like a weapon.
