Mars is impossible to terraform due to the lack of a magnetic field.
There's plenty of fields on Mars, couldn't we hypothetically dump tons of magnets in one and be safe?

It was to my understanding that's how it worked. They have fields of magnets by observatories so they can see the stars better.
