So yeah I'm saving up for a new good computer that can Run GTA IV smoothly, this laptop can now only run it on low.
Should I get new parts for a Laptop or a new computer?

Good luck upgrading the laptop. The most you'll be able to do is upgrade RAM. Laptops are very restricted due to the small form factor.

New computer, dekstops just tend to be better and are easier to upgrade in the future. I dont know how people stand to play on laptops anyway, I only do it if my computers out.

All you need is a mouse, keyboard, and a monitor and it feels like a desktop.

It doesn't feel like it for me. I dislike it.

Not really, considering its much slower, still not as customizable, and is actually more expensive in most cases.

Laptops are not always slower. Laptops are getting faster and faster these days.
And they can be cheaper too, because of their small size.

I'm not a laptop fan, I would much rather use a desktop, as I'm using. But I'm just stating that.

yeah
and a cardboard box next to your feet

Laptops are not always slower.
When people say a laptop is slower, what they mean is a laptop is slower than a desktop of the same price

And they can be cheaper too, because of their small size.
Similar here. A laptop is more expensive than a desktop of the same performance.

To get a upgrade out of anything, isn't it possible to replace the motherboard and the motherboard only if it's tiny, even then it'd be hard finding some decent stuff for it
Get a new PC or if you have the £1,000 to spare buy a standard gaming laptop, none of that alienware stuff, 11 inch gaming netbook-like is not worth it
