I have seen this before. It happened randomly on Slopes for me, loading the high-poly texture (in a big circle near me) as brown instead of white. This happened only on my dad's CPU, which runs Windows 7. I also had it turn pink once O_o
Idk how to fix but it is not the raygun that causes it. I got it when I didnt have the raygun, and now I have the raygun as well as a simple akimbo version.
