Math help.

Im trying to find an equation for each table of values.
This is my table can someone please tell me formula to find out the equation

  X     Y
  4     3
  6    11
  8    19
 10   27


My teacher said to take two numbers from X side (4 and 8) and two numbers from Y side (3 and 19)
and find the difference   4 and 16
But  I dont know where to go from there.

Plot it out on a graph.  The shape of the graph will determine if it is linear, quadratic, or non-linear.
Edit: It's linear.
