Author Topic: People Crashing or Leaving.  (Read 794 times)

It seems like there is a very large amount of people crashing from my server. Maybe they are just leaving but if you guys could post how avoid people from crashing or lagging, please post it down below. Thanks.

Have you port forwarded?

Run a ded. server and watch the console so you can clearly determine if they left or crashed.

Have you port forwarded?
Irrelevant. If this was the issue people wouldn't be able to join.

Anyways, if there really was a 'very large amount of people' that are crashing, then at least some of them would rejoin, saying they crashed.

I haven't port forwarded yet on this new internet provider, i used to have quest and i port forwarded on that, but i haven't yet on this new one but some people were able to join.

I don't know how to run a ded.

I guess i was exaggerating with the "very large amount of people" quote, but just about everyone that joins will suddenly stop talking, stay frozen for 1 or 2 min (i spied on them) and then they will just leave. I tried to talk to these people that were frozen but no one answered.

You must have texture files that can't load.

Hit frozen people with the destructo wand once.

What can i do to fix this?

What would this do or prove?

It is known to fix people that are lagging out.

It can also test if they are actually lagging or not.

Doom just gave MP an idea...

Anyway, just host from a better connection/location. Also, go do A speedtest and  upload the results.

As long as you have the same router, and haven't changed settings since you switched providers, it doesn't matter. Also, as I said before, port forwarding isn't the issue.

I'd advise getting a friend (or yourself, just open another Blockland) to join and tell you what happens.

I've seen this before. You join, you crash, then you cant rejoin. Port forwarding fixes it.

I just hosted a server, and i have 12 people on, there was 2 people that had trouble joining, My friend and some other person. They would crash repetitively. So i guess i can host. What should i tell them to do? Download textures? Anything else that people should download?

See if you can get one of them to post their console.log here
