Component video (YPbPr) / VGA To HDMI Converter With Auto Up-scale

I have been searching for a way to use my HD PVR and record my own PC game-play with it. However the lack of Component input/outputs on my PC led me to search for an HDMI/VGA to component converter. I have found this device.

Really, I have got my set up all planned and understand how it would all work out nonetheless, I have a question perhaps you can answer. Can this convert both ways? For example, it advertises that it converts Component video to HDMI/VGA. However, I wonder if it is able to convert vice-versa (HDMI to Component) for purposes of using this with my monitor.

I can't really answer any of your other questions, but if you're buying a format converter you can probably find one cheaper on monoprice, as long as you aren't looking to ship internationally:
