Brick count huh? Have you tried merging cubes when possible, like how trench digging does it?

It's not an issue anymore. There's a chunk save/load system.

Yeah, but having them both can still increase performance greatly. Alot less objects on the screen and possibly less faces to render.

Blocks of the same colour aren't very commonly next to each other, anyway. It doesn't seem to be worthwhile.
