So at the dinner table I talk about how "
everyone" likes certain food e.g. hamburgers.
My mom basically tells me I can't use the word "everyone" since I'm not talking about literally everyone. There's probably one person somewhere who doesn't like hamburgers.
I say that you shouldn't be that fussy about our modern language, especially since you know what it means.
I ask her if I should go around correcting people who use the word "
själv" instead of the word "
ensam".
She proceeds by saying that you can't go around telling
everyone what words to use.
She ends her career in the club of people who aren't
complete idiots by saying "I don't think you understand me". She says that
every time we argue. God damnit.
