Author Topic: GAH, GRAPHICS CARD :(  (Read 294 times)

Well, today i went out and bought a Radeon HD 4350 Graphics Card, and it's a PCI Express x16 or something like that. When i got home to "put it in", it wouldn't fit in the slot. It could fit, but there's a bar that sort of "prevents" that from happening because it's too long. I'm really stupid when it comes to this stuff, so i've just been reading the directions over and over and don't seem to find anything that will help. My computer is a HP Pavilion Slimline s5000, anyone know if i'm supposed to get a different card? Did i possibly get a "wrong sized" card?
Like i said, i'm pretty stupid when it comes to this stuff.

Wrong size, return it and pay better attention to details like that before buying things.  I messed up way too many times with impulse buying.

Ah, lol. My mom was like "Oh well this isn't so expensive, lets get it!" So me being handicapped couldn't help but agree. :(

Hint: a 4350 kinda sucks anyway, that's why its cheap.

Do your research, heavily.  Especially before buying any computer parts.  If you don't know what you're doing, just read up as much as you can.  If you can't absorb the information or you're too lazy w/e, then you're not fit for building computers.
