Author Topic: Mounting Weapons  (Read 684 times)

Alright, so my uncle just got an addition onto his house, and he wants one room to be converted into an 'armory' of sorts, where he can keep all of his weapons mounted. He has a stuffload of stuff to mount on the walls, so I was wondering how to go about this. What would be the most space efficient way to mount long guns, handguns, and various blades on some walls?

This is more of a "let's display lots of deadly stuff on all four walls of a room" situation, lol.

When I first saw this topic, I thought you were referring to having a turret installed on the exterior of your house.
Kinda disappointed.

Would you rather have one turret or ~40 guns and various swords and knives displayed in a nice manner?

Try taking an organized approach; arrange your weaponry in clearly defined groups of weapon type. Try to keep it in a "small-to-big" order aswell.

Display cases look pretty, but make sure to use something other than glass for the guns to rest on so you don't break the glass from scratching it too much.

Why one turret?
I'd love both though

I'm now thinking of pegs in the wall for the guns to rest on. The swords could be displayed in the same manner. Handguns might be in easier to reach places due to the Castle Doctrine.

I'd rather have a nice handgun that I keep in my nightstand to ward off intruders, but that's it. Maybe a knife, as well.

I think we're going to keep his .357 mounted in a case, and the rifles and swords and that stuff on the wall.

Is your uncle a redneck? I'd like to go by your uncle's house when the zombie apocalypse rolls around.
