Most recent dental work I had done (aside from cleanings, of course) was getting my wisdom teeth removed. I had braces a few years ago, and the first week or so sucks big time, but after that, it's fine. When you get them tightened or adjusted, they'll hurt for a day or so, but in the long run, braces are completely worth it because your teeth look beautiful after having the braces removed.
