Author Topic: Textures not mapping correctly  (Read 1069 times)

No matter how I map the textures in Milkshape, I always end up with this:

v this is what it looks like in Milkshape v

I'm sure someone else has had this problem, any solutions?

Your avatar disturbes me.

Is that an interior, dts or a brick?

I think you need to resize the texture larger or something.

The texture is 512 x 512 pixels. I've made something similar before with a smaller texture and it went on just fine.

The image size is irrelevant. There is something wrong with the mapping.

I've used the Tile Texture Mapper tool and the Texture Coordinator Editor in about every way, still no dice.

I am not familiar with Milkshape but perhaps try making the texture twice as large in Milkshape and then export. Logically it should work.

Shouldn't you just use a BLB.

Wait wait.
This is gonna sound stupid. but map the texture to one stud.
Let's see what happens.

There's a scale button for the texture but I can't get it to do anything.

This isn't supposed to be an actual brick.

Anyways, I changed my mind on how I wanted this to work so I made another 'brick' the size of a 1x1, stuck on the textures, and they appeared to be mapped correctly in-game. Not sure what's up with that. Still, I'm welcome to any solutions as this has happened a couple times before with other models.

Its a problem with the image size, blockland can only handle, as far as I know, 128x128, 256x256, and 512x512

128x128, 256x256, and 512x512
The texture is 512 x 512 pixels.
And I doubt that's the case, this mapped on correctly in-game.
I'm pretty sure it's just some problem with Milkshape, I've been having problems with it since I started using it.
