Not likely. Get a 600W, 500W may give you stability issues.

I believe that a 6870 only consumes 400W but they do ask for 500W minimum to be safe. I have one machine with a 5850 which is similar in performance, and have it running fine off a quality Cooler Master 550W 80+ Bronze.
