Author Topic: Need at MAX $600 build  (Read 1699 times)

It's not the wattage; very rarely, a PSU will support the wattage it is rated at. Cheaper ones tend to be worse, I remember a case where a 600W was only outputting 380W to 410W peak.

Righteous, do you believe the one I recommended would be enough? I think it would. They usually make good products, and that rebate is insane, but he can't do that.

It's supposed to output at a continuous 630W with 80 percent efficiency at the least.

I'm also going to get the Rosewill challenger plus the Rosewill HIVE series 650W combo. For 115

The HIVE series is based off OCZ ZS platform, so it should be similar. And its modular.

With overclocking I doubt 630w will be enough for 2 460s and the cpu running at 3.7ghz. Do you actually know how to overclock yet?

When I bought two 460's a while ago I made a topic at tom's hardware. I don't use the 460's anymore, because I've upgraded my whole build.

If you still don't believe then you're welcome to try, but when you ruin $300 worth of hardware not under warranty you'll be one unhappy camper.

Slizone is operate by Nvidia. If your psu isn't on their and you still decide to use it then best of luck to you.
