Author Topic: V20 infected? (not badspots fault but maybe a hacker)  (Read 1516 times)

False positive.

Blockland isn't infected, and it has never been. It's just the new setup for Blockland. Don't worry, my antivirus picked up Blockland as infected too, yet I've played since v11 with no problems.

I had to fight around with Norton and got my Blockland to work.

Stop flaming Norton everyone, it just does it's job.

Blockland is not recognized software by Norton so it detects it as potentially malware, it just does it's job.

However it actually is partially Symantec's fault that it does not recognize Blockland as a known software.

Norton is a stuffty anti-virus. I suggest you using Avast.

Avast and its annoying start up voice, "Avast me hearties! Your black list of dangerous sea dawgs, be safely aboard." Over and over and over an-

I got it from the site. Not silly because my whole system got corrupted. Placing it in the recycle bin does not completely remove it btw. I was talking to some guys from on Internet helper Thingy and they sai there has been reported of people that hack website servers and so when someone downloads something they get it. My dad and brother told me I should format it because everything got corrupted.
Dude, norton probably did all that.

Ok well I have never had a problem with them at all before. They did their job but it's being picked up as a worm / Trojan / keylogger so someone is messing with the system. Uninstalling an anti virus is difficult because there are viruses that will uninstall thing so they make them so they can't be uninstalled. When I uninstall them completely try come back in about 10 minutes.

To solve this, follow this simple 3-step instruction:

1st step:  Gently put Norton in your Recycle Bin.

2nd step:  Delete your Recycle Bin.

3rd step:  Install a different security software program and get a new Recycle Bin.

Also, Uninstal Norton and re-install something else.  Blockland just likely needs to be re-download.

Blockland downloads files from the internet and runs them.
Blockland receives keyboard input.
Blockland communicates with remote web pages.

All of these things could mean it's a virus.  But it isn't.  It's a game.  Your security software is detecting normal game features as potentially harmful.  This is an issue between you and your security software.  It is not an issue with Blockland.  If you are still unsure, feel free to never play Blockland again.
