Author Topic: Today I learned that Commodore still sells the C64... With an Intel i7!  (Read 2288 times)

I have an old one.
But hold on, so i can say a Commodore 64 is more powerful than my computer by a slight margin?

Ethan, is the Extreme's i7 some rather old rev/model (although, of course, not c64-old)?

Nope, they are newer, like the 990X I presume you mean?

So it's newer than the ix 2x00(K) models?

What is a "Next-Generation NVIDIA ION Graphics Processor" like? :u

it's better than my computer

cant you just buy the "barebones" and build the forgeter yourself?
$1400 seems pricey for a computer with mystery parts

I doubt that, its design and hardware are probably key to fitting it into the space.

i just noticed, they're going to make Amigas soon as well

Nope, but the extremes are 6 cores and better in most applications. But more expensive. By far.

You can run Windows 7 on it.

Edit: Why doesn't it list the Commodore barebones specs?
Is the next tier commodore really worth a thousand dollars?

C'mon, it's just (below) average PCs with preinstalled emulators. So much hype for nothing. Especially regarding the Amiga there are real successors either available or approaching (Natami, SAM 440 or 460ex, AmigaOne X1000).
