Author Topic: Took apart my HP TouchSmart Tm2  (Read 1007 times)

The laptop fell out of my bag onto a staircase.

No hardware issues, but some nasty cosmetic damage. The laptop face is made of brushed Aluminium, so it took quite the beating.

I had to take it apart piece by piece to get the metal panel off. I buffed out the warping with a hammer and my fingers, and it looks alright now.

Have any of you guys had to take apart a laptop? If so, why? Post away. Laptops are a bitch to repair.

That sounds as grueling as trying to tune an old Favilla classic guitar.

You have over 9000 computers holy wtf.

When I took apart my Dell Latitude D610, it felt sooooo gooooood.

Made me feel like a surgeon too.

I blew my old one up. gotta love that boom.

I took apart one of my HP LT's before. Used it for scrap to make a computer that I ended up selling for $300.

I was disassembling my keyboard just because, but after I took out the second screw I said "forget this" and put them back in and went to search the fridge for food

Amazing. You should of added that "Ban" key in place of the return key.

I have disassembled 3, the first one was when I was about 11.
Just because :D

I take apart bikes.
Then leave them for about 3 months.
Fx them, and my life repeats.

I used to be like that but now I've got so many there's really no point in taking them apart when I have favorites that don't need to be screwed with. :P
