I just realize my PSU supplies +12V1 / 14 amps.

My 560 TI says it needs +12V1 / 25 amps.

I've never noticed this. Could it be causing freezing and restarts under load?

Regardless, I just ordered this.

it could cause some serious slow downs, and maybe in extreme cases restarts/freezing.

Regardless, I just ordered this.

It's a low quality budget PSU that you had originally, from one of those cheaper brands.
Never cheap out on PSU, it's one of the most important components.

Good choice with the Antec.

Power failures, shut downs, part failure/damage, etc.

The best case scenario is you get shutdowns. Even then that's not good.

It's absolutely critical IMO.
