Author Topic: Anyone else having a bit of trouble with the new Youtube video viewer?  (Read 676 times)

Okay so today I noticed there's this new video viewer on Youtube. It basically seems to add in the ability to alter speed of any video.

It seems, for me, to break the progress bar (the gray bar that shows how much of the video is loaded), and also make loading incredibly long.

Although, I've been having some issues with things like this lately, has anyone else been having issues?

Or does anyone even see a difference in the video viewer?

All I know is I just used the direct webcam recording feature to record myself badly lip syncing Je Suis Rick Springfield, and it seems to be working, although the preview is taking forever because it's first uploading the entire recording first.

Uploading a video that has quality better than that of what may come out of an orange tends to take awhile anyways.

youtube sometimes freezes and then goes through all the frozen seconds in one second very fast for me, not sure if this is related

The video viewer with speed options seems to be on completely random videos.

It's updated to the point where FRAPS now shows a frame counter on it...  Whoa.

i'm pretty sure it's been like that for awhile

No, it's recent.  Because it never did that before.  The FPS counter would also sometimes appear on the page itself, not just the flash video.

It's always appeared for me.
